Valentine’s day is arriving and it is a beautiful day to celebrate with your loved one and to pamper your partner and yourself (with endless amounts of chocolates).
Guys and girls the pressure is on! The 14th of February is the day you need to be your most romantic, if you have the poem ready and the right gift carefully hidden away, then the only thing left is to create the perfect ‘love birds nest’.
Here are three quick tips on how to make her heart beat faster on this day.
- Flower Bomb
Yes, flowers and balloons! I know it’s nothing new, but most guys get it wrong, it’s about quantity. The more the better. My tip is to get at least 250 to 300 helium Balloons (red & gold) and ask them to be delivered at 6am in the morning and placed throughout the entire house. Put on one of them a personal written note and place at the centre of the room right above the 1000 pc. roses bouquet (yes one thousand).
2. The Treasure Hunt
This requires a bit more effort and you might want to ask a friend to help out. Depending on your apartment size, you need to cut out around 150 to 300 heart shaped thick papers in different sizes and colours (focus on 2-3 colours max). On 14 of them you will write a love message and a hint to find the treasure (your gift for her). You will place them throughout the entire house (of course upside down). Not only is this fun but it will make the entire house shine in colourful hearts. In addition you can spread rose petals on top of the hearts. Just make sure you are not the one who has to clean the next day!
- The Endless Gift
It starts with writing down all the good things, which connect you and your partner and all the little things that make you both so happy. Followed by a long shopping day getting all those treats. Start writing all your quotes throughout the entire house (mirrors, windows, kitchen, on walls etc..) make sure you use a pen or sticker which is removable. Followed by hiding her gifts in strategic locations where she would find them throughout the day. This gives her a whole day of surprises when she least expect them.
Now some general ideas for the home set up.
February 14th is the renaissance of the colour red in all its variations. Make sure you get some red cushions and some red fluffy through placed on your normally contemporary sofa. If you have a white empty wall, get a bunch of red loose roses and hang them on the wall in a heart shape. Make sure you get some perfumed candles and her favourite romantic music playing in the background. Pralines are out, make sure you get her favourite cake made in a mini version (Red Velvet is fits the theme). Save the expensive restaurant bill and cook (or at least pretend). Making a surprise dinner at home gives you also the opportunity to create a beautiful table decoration with many flowers and hearts.
There is many ways of making your partner happy and your home stunning. just let your ideas and emotions flow.
